ABSTRACT
For years, osteoporosis has been discussed as a major public health challenge, primarily linked to the aging of populations, especially in highly developed countries. Today, with a broader perspective, a larger arsenal of medications, and a deeper understanding of the causes and risk factors of osteoporosis, it remains surprising that we still find ourselves calling for better diagnosis, more timely referrals, and prompt treatment. Although it should be self-evident that therapy ought to be initiated – ideally – before a serious complication such as a low-energy (fragility) fracture occurs. osteoporosis osteoporosis osteoporosis For years, osteoporosis has been discussed as a major public health challenge For years, osteoporosis has been discussed as a major public health challenge
