ABSTRACT
The quality of specialistic rheumatology health care has been evaluated in region of Mazowsze. The population of this region amounts above 4 millions people. The recent study revealed that approximately 25% of this population suffer from rheumatic symptoms or diseases, but only 3.5% could receive the consultation of rheumatologist. During last year only 5000 patients (0.1%) could be hospitalized. The allocation of rheumatology care units is very uneven. Most of them is located in the capital. The accessibility of rheumatologist is better in western part of region than in the east. In some of the regions the patients with rheumatic diseases are treated by general physicians but not by specialists.
