ABSTRACT
Glucocorticoids are the most common inflammatory drugs in rheumatology. They are very effective in terms of induction and expression of inflammatory events. Unfortunately, adverse effects are at present frequently observed. The most important ideas concern the explanation of the mode of action of GC on genomic and non-genomic way. The future of the therapy depends on the synthesis of new drugs omitting the DNA pathway.
