ABSTRACT
In recent years significant progress has been made in understanding the aetiopathogenesis and treatment of spondyloarthropathies. The international group of experts ASAS elaborated new classification criteria of axial and peripheral spondyloarthropathy, which allow the establishment of early diagnosis and introduction of treatment. In the present article the new classification criteria and treatment recommendations are presented based on multinational evidence-based guidelines elaborated by EULAR and ASAS (Fig. 1, Tables I–X).
