ABSTRACT
The incidence of rheumatic diseases in first 6 months of life, especially in newborns is rare. The pathogenesis, clinical picture and therapeutic problems, includes 3 groups: a) with connection with transplacental passage of autoantibodies such as neonatal lupus and neonatal antiphospholipid syndrome, b) genetic condition such as chronic infantile neurologic, cutaneous and articular syndrome, c) other such as Kawasaki disease and Behçet’s, disease, localized scleroderma, periarteritis nodosa are described.
