Rola adipokin w patogenezie twardziny układowej  – badania własne i przegląd literatury

Wzmożone zainteresowanie rolą białej tkanki tłuszczowej zapoczątkowane zostało w 1994 r. odkryciem leptyny. Obecnie biała tkanka tłuszczowa jest postrzegana jako narząd endokrynny, produkujący znaczne ilości bioaktywnych cząsteczek, zwanych adipokinami, które m.in. wpływają na funkcjonowanie mózgu, wątroby, mięśni szkieletowych oraz układu immunologicznego. Celem przedstawionej pracy jest krótka charakterystyka roli adipokin w patogenezie chorób reumatycznych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem twardziny układowej, na podstawie danych literaturowych i badań własnych.
