STRESZCZENIE
Toczeń rumieniowaty układowy (TRU) jest układową chorobą tkanki łącznej o zróżnicowanym obrazie klinicznym, w której występują liczne zaburzenia serologiczne. U podłoża tej choroby leżą czynniki genetyczne, hormonalne i środowiskowe, które sprzyjają zaburzeniom odpowiedzi immunologicznej. W artykule omówiono znaczenie czynników środowiskowych, takich jak ekspozycja na UVB, infekcje, leki, czynniki chemiczne, dietetyczne, socjoekonomiczne i psychospołeczne, niedobór witaminy D, estrogeny egzogenne, nikotynizm, szczepienia ochronne oraz środowisko in utero w etiologii TRU i chorób z kręgu TRU.
